New Cafe For Cowal
The Shore Cafe and General Store in Strone, Argyll & Bute, Scotland, has undergone a three-month makeover, transforming in to a calming, contemporary cafe and shop with stunning views of the Holy Loch.
New owners Susan and Paul worked tirelessly on the renovations once Covid-19 restrictions were eased in the summer of 2020, with setbacks and surprises along the way. Opening a new business can be difficult under the best of circumstances, but a global pandemic has thrown up many unexpected challenges.
However, they have now opened the doors to welcome locals and visitors alike to their labour of love on the Cowal Peninsula - Argyll's Secret Coast. The shop and cafe are now open, with fresh provisions and groceries, locally-roasted coffee and specialty teas, home-baking, homemade soup and hot rolls on offer. A more extensive cafe menu is on the way.
